SCULPTURE BY THE SEA

$0.00

Sculpture-by-the-Sea is an annual art exhibition which takes place along the shoreline of the coastal walk between Bondi and Tamarama. The event takes advantage of its dramatic location with art projects of varying scales, materials and forms responding to this unique setting. The idea for “Lend Me Your Ears’ was to enhance the aural appreciation of the scenery along the promenade. Disposable ears were distributed to the public at either end of the journey. While on the walk, the sounds of the ocean and people are amplified by drawing attention to one’s ears. Another consequence was the recognition and chance encounters with other people wearing their ears.
