Project for a large scale mobile for the dome of the "Rocca Pisana" in Lonigo, Italy.

La Rocca Pisana is a Venetian Villa designed by the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi in the Palladian style in 1576. The Sculpture occupies the centre of the Villa. The mobile is hung under the cupola which is open to the sky through a large oculus. It rotates slowly evoking the movement of the planets that was discovered a few decades earlier by Nicolaus Copernicus. The installation is an illustration of Scamozzi's treaty "the idea of Universal Architecture".
