LOCKDOWN PROJECT

The artwork consists in selecting, collecting, and rearranging ordinary fragments of nature FOUND IN 1KM PERIMETER AROUND HOME, into miniatures trees.

In the same spirit as Mono-Ha and Arte Povera, it draws out its artistic expression from matter by directly engaging in its being. An attitude particularly relevant in the age of Anthropocene. Nothing is bought, everything is found in a radius of a few kilometres from home. All-natural pieces are assembled by carving, jamming, weaving… operations that do not require any screws or other industrial fixing.

The making of these sculptures is a kind of spiritual occupation as a mean to connect with nature when confined to a restricted area. Carefully observing nature, like a child focusing on trifling details and imagining a story around them; the installation creates miniature landscapes that you can relate to and own in your isolated home.
